We are happy to share that Allen Green Memorial Torah Campaign is now up and ready!
Last year, our community lost a true friend, a beautiful soul. Allen Green, never met a stranger. He was the epitome of kindness, generous with his time and always shared his love with all. He would embrace you with a hug and warm you with his ever-present smile. He defined to everyone, the truest meaning of “Mensch”!
Allen dedicated his life to the love of his fellow man unconditionally. He Loved G-d, he Loved his family (and everyone was like family to him) and he loved his faith. The very basis of that love in the Jewish faith is the Torah.
There is no greater way to honor Allen’s inspiring and loving qualities, than to create and write a new Torah in his honor. The Allen Green Memorial Torah!
The Torah connects us, teaches us, and constantly guides us. The Torah shows us a path forward that we may learn to be accepting, learn to be better, learn to be kinder and wiser.
To be a bit more like Allen.
So please join us in honoring our dear friend by taking part in this very special and unique project honoring a man who continues to put an imprint on all our hearts.
Each part of the new Torah, (from the individual letters, chapters, sections and Crown) can be endowed to bring this Torah to the community and to be the cornerstone of our faith.
We look forward to completing and celebrating this Torah on Sept 22, 2024.
The Torah is the heart and soul of the Jewish People, it has always been and will always be.
